When I activated the FUN theme, there was no sign of Recipes, then I uploaded and activated Easy Recipe Plus plug in but still no recipes. Please help!
Also, the Home page is not showing as the demo, and the font and font colors are not changing. Do I need to start from scratch to get the pages, especially the home page in the order of the demo? I thought the widgets would at least be in place, even if things didn’t populate properly…or is there some custom code in the old site (Food & Cook) that is preventing it from happening? Please advise.
If I were to buy the $135 package (it’s already installed, but need help getting it looking and functioning like it should) would you be able to resolve this issues in 24 hours or so? I want to do my own color and font choosing, and change the header and what not, but I just consulted with a designer who has used a PDCD (Modern) and she was baffled by these issues, and said I should contact you, or find a Genesis expert. Please advise. Thanks!06/16/2015 at 2:19 pm #20135
The Easy Recipe plugin will not update existing recipe posts. To add a recipe to a post, once you have the Easy Recipe plugin installed, click on the little chef’s hate in the toolbar of a post.
If you had a previous WP theme on your site, and was using a different recipe plugin, it should still work on the Fun theme.
Once you have the theme installed, you need to add widgets to the home page widget areas; the set-up instructions show you what goes into each widget area.
You haven’t provided your site’s URL, so I am not able to troubleshoot your font and font color changes, but if you have updated the stylesheet, and saved it, it should update immediately (unless you have a caching plugin installed, in which case you should deactivate the caching, and then clear your browser, history and cookies.
With the $135 package, I will set up the theme with the same look and functionality of the demo within 24 hours. I will change fonts (using Google fonts) and colors to match your branding, and will install your logo (based on the theme’s settings), as is.
As for your recipes, as I indicated, transferring from one plugin to another won’t update, so I would need more information about what you were using, and how many recipes you have etc.06/21/2015 at 2:16 pm #20339
I was using a WP theme called Food & Cook…so I don’t know if the recipe part of it is a plug-in? When I change themes, I don’t see the Food & Cook any more, so what’s the solution?
I would like to consider having you do the set up if I the recipe issue can be figured out first.
I”m in the middle of a move next week, so wondering what your time line would be for starting/finishing, so if you need things from me, I can be available.
Oh, and I have an under construction sign on the site right now, so you won’t be able to see it. http://www.Victoria-Laine.com
I also have some personal information I want to share with you, is there a private email I can send that to?

You can send any private email to email@example.com, it comes directly to me.
I would need to take a look at the site and investigate what you were using previously to determine the next steps.06/22/2015 at 3:45 pm #20396
Hi Susan, I sent you a private email at the email address you provided and just want to ensure you’ve received it? thanks!06/22/2015 at 3:47 pm #20398
Victoria – yes, I have received it – I’ll take a look when I get home this evening. Thanks!
