the quality of being thankful; readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness.
Even if you’re working your dream job, certain aspects can become mundane from time to time. That’s where our good friend gratitude, and his sidekick the gratitude printable, jump in to save the day. ( insert picture of super hero with G emblazoned cape here 😉 ) Make a list of the things you’re grateful for, say them out loud, let them resonate. I like to create separate lists for work and personal life. This helps me remember the two are separate. As a creative, it’s very difficult for me to separate the two because work feels so personal. This exercise is one that works in two very important ways for me, I’m reminded how amazing my job is, and that my work is not who I am, but what I do.
This may sounds super cheesy and like a waste of time, but it’s a powerful activity. If nothing else, you can picture me groggy eyed and grumpy surrounded by piles of laundry on a Monday morning saying things like “I’m grateful for a creative outlet” out loud to myself while the dogs and my 3 year old look at me like I’m crazy 🙂
Download your free gratitude printable on our free stuff for subscribers page. For the record, when I filled out my list of things I’m grateful for all of you were at the top of the list. Cheese Alert: Your comments, and emails mean the world to me. My biggest concern is that words don’t do my gratitude justice, so I’ll be posting a little thank you for you all soon.
