The first bow I remember wearing was one my aunt made for me out of the “funnies” in the newspaper. My mom would pull my hair back in a super tight pony tail and strategically place that massive bow on top. While it was made from the funnies, may or may not have looked funny, yet I felt anything but. To me, It was sheer perfection. Just as a perfectly wrapped present, I felt complete once a bow was added. As a teenager, my sister and I would buy ribbon at Hobby Lobby and create headbands tied in a bow at the top. After high school I worked at a hair salon for a little bit where my hair stylist/family friend would make my hair as big as possible and put a bow in it 50s style just for fun. On Halloween one year we went REALLY big with it, and couldn’t find a bow, so she made one out of a piece of tissue paper and a bobby pin 😉 As an adult, and Mom to two little girls, I’m able to find bows all over the house. Hallelujah 😉 It’s a love that I’ve happily passed along to my little girls. So whereas bows may be a trendy and popular element of today, to me they signify much more. They are the quiet reminder in my own life and business that you can create just about anything with a creative mind and tenacious spirit #putabowonit
